Triple Peaks – entries now open!
The iconic Hawke’s Bay event, Triple Peaks, will return to the sporting calendar on 13 April 2024 following the cancellation of the 2023 race due to Cyclone Gabrielle.
The format of the 2024 event will be shortened due to the impact of the cyclone on the traditional event course. The route will include two of the three triple peaks, Mt Erin and Te Mata Peak, as well as surrounding scenic farmland. Mt Kahuranaki will not be included, although it is the intention to return the event to its original format in the future.
Event registrations are now open, with options for bikers, runners, and walkers. Individuals or teams of two can enter, and as in previous years there will be a one peak option for those wanting a stepping-stone to the full event.
Triple Peaks will be managed in 2024 by SuperVision Sports. Ivar Hopman, Director of SuperVision Sports, said, “We are delighted to bring back the iconic Triple Peaks event in 2024. We know the sporting community will welcome the return of the event, and we urge bikers, runners, and walkers to mark their calendars for 13 April 2024, get training, and prepare for a cracker event.”
Triple Peaks is predominantly held on private land and the organisers thank the landowners for their kind permission.
