LOCATION: Endemic to New Zealand, coastal to subalpine.

DESCRIPTION: A tufted evergreen fern, one of New Zealand’s most well known.

USES: Young fronds are picked and eaten raw or cooked. Infusion of the roots used as a wash for skin complaints.
