Have your say in the Te Mata Park 2024 Survey

The Te Mata Park 2024 Survey is out now, and we invite Park users to participate and have their say. 

We undertake this survey every two years to learn more about how Te Mata Park is used, gauge how satisfied you are with your experiences in the Park and gather ideas for improvement.

We find ourselves in a somewhat different state this autumn, with Te Mata Park partially open and the region in recovery mode following the cyclone.

Thanks to the hard work of our contractors, volunteers, and Hastings District Council, we are pleased to be able to partially reopen Te Mata Park from 6am on Saturday 4 March 2023.

Gifted in perpetuity to the community in 1927 and managed by a small group of volunteer trustees, with appreciated help from local councils and the community, the Park is a cultural, historical and recreational treasure.
