The closed section of the Te Aratipi Uphill mountain bike trail has been re-opened.  It was closed following the tragic death of a biker earlier this year.   This short section of the Te Aratipi trail was detoured as a precaution, during the investigation.  Following an independent Safety Audit, the trail has been assessed as low safety risk for uphill riders.  The detour signs have been removed today, and the trail can return to its full use as an UPHILL TRAIL ONLY.
The Trust acknowledge that Mountain Bikers have been waiting patiently for the trail to reopen and we are pleased to say we can now permit access once again.  Thank you.
