Please note that from Monday 19 August, a large number of sheep will be grazing in Te Mata Park. It is imperative that you keep your dogs under control AT ALL TIMES. If your dog is unreliable, then please use a leash.
Grazing sheep is a key strategy for keeping weeds at bay, the grass low and also keeping fire risk to a minimum. It makes the Park a better & safer place!

Note that the grazing areas are in the upper reaches of the Park, above the cattle stops. If you see any sheep that are injured or below the cattle stops, then please advise the Park Manager on firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
