  • Te Ihu (the original MTB track from the top – to saddle), 1.5 kms
  • Te Kahu (aka Flow Track – to Chambers Walk only), 1.8 kms
  • Te Aratipi (note that this is normally an uphill trail but for one day only, we have permission to ride / run downhill) – 1.65kms
  • Trench Track – a new trail at bottom of Te Ihu – plus bottom tracks leading on to Chambers Walk (0.8 kms) (note this was originally Middle Ridge but has been changed due to wet forecast).
  • A track through the new land which the Trust is fundraising to purchase (excellent, rugged terrain) – approx 1.5kms

Categories: Runners and Mt Bikers.  Male and Female.  Over 17 and under 16.  ”Over 50” special mentions. Also a special category for the folks on e-bikes!

Possible Postponement:  If there is a substantial amount of rain leading up to the event, and/or it’s appalling weather on the day, we will postpone the event.  This is for safety and also to ensure the TMP trails are not damaged.  The announcement for this will be made on Thursday morning 29 November.

Note that no shuttles will be provided, and you will need to use your own pedalling power / running power to get to the top of the tracks! Mountain bikers – also note that the normal ”Te Aratipi” uphill track will be used for descending on this afternoon only, so you will need to use alternative routes for climbing (e.g. the road – please be mindful of other road users).

The only parts of the course that will be timed are the 5 downhill runs.  You can take your time getting to the start of each ”run.”

Note that you can do the 5 runs in any order that you wish.

ALL PROCEEDS TO TE MATA PARK and our One Giant Chance fundraising campaign.
