Red Hot Blues!
Riverhead Slide play the Blues like no other band. A blend of Slide-styled standards and catchy originals feature on the band’s five albums and live DVD. From a Saturday night of R&B to a laid-back Sunday afternoon or a showcase concert, the band plays with passion, infectious enthusiasm and a style forged through years of experience. Songwriters and singers Steve Wigz and Gael Ludlow front the band. A combination of Steve`s slide guitar and 12 bar blues, Gael’s rock background and soulful vocals, Nigel Major on lead guitars and the groove of Murray Finer`s bass with Pete Ludlow on drums, creates Riverhead Slide’s unique sound. They will be joined by Wyn Drabble, well-known and loved Hawke’s Bay singer-songwriter to jame the Blues for a rocking good session in the Redwoods.
